Despite the fact that his illness resulted from his proximity to the World Trade Center during and after the attacks, he has been denied any financial help with his medical expenses. Eric Adams, State Senator from Brooklyn, announced today that he will be introducing legislation for health care benefits for first responders. It will be a first step for people like George who were not first responders, but were also affected.

This is certainly not apropos of your podcast, but I saw your twitter today about falling off the vegetarian wagon. I understand! I think I messed up once or twice when I first started but I haven’t even really thought about eating meat since those early days! I’ve found that I just have to be honest with friends of mine about selecting a dining out experience that will provide me at least one good vegetarian choice and all is well!
So, no worries, but you live in NYC! You can do it!
